Leila is a research fellow and clinical trial statistician at Imperial Clinical Trials Unit (ICTU). She is currently working on the TREAT trial – Treating severe paediatric asthma and statistical research and trial design in critical care. Her research interest are in statistical methods to improve the design, analysis, and reporting of randomised clinical trials.


Leila completed a BSc in Statistics followed by a MSc and Ph.D. in Biostatistics and has also completed her MBA certificate program. She started working as an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at Iran University of Medical Sciences immediately after she obtained her Ph.D. degree in 2015 and was promoted to associate level after 4 years. Additionally, she has worked as a Head of Biostatistics Unit, Clinical Trial Center (CTC), Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
